The system provides the ability to convert solar and wind power into hydrogen by electrolysis of water and store this hydrogen in man-made underground chambers.

The chamber is flooded with water. This provides the unique feature of using the hydrostatic water pressure to compress the hydrogen without the need for any mechanical compression.

The stored hydrogen can be used regenerate electricity through gas turbines or fuel cells. The chamber refills with water as the gas is removed and forces the gas from the chamber under pressurer.
